The Mentor of Distinction award clearly recognizes excellent mentoring qualities, commitment to the Profession of Dental Hygiene, dedication to students, and as educators’ ongoing reinforcement of mentorship qualities to students and colleagues.

Marilyn Cortell emerged as the 2015 Mentor of Distinction based on a carefully executed peer review process.
